Thanks to the interaction with the device and connected multicolour smart bulbs, Google Nest brought the atmosphere of a live concert to people’s homes, reaching 2 million views on Ghali’s YouTube channel in 24 hours.

Inspired by the original colours and materials of ancestral artwork and regalia significant to each athlete’s Tribal Nation from purple wampum shells to colourful porcupine quills, the summer 2021 Nike N7 collection honours the values, stories, and diversity of Indigenous traditions and craft. AKQA’s San Francisco and Portland studios launched the collection by interviewing Nike athletes Lyle Thompson, Lauren Schad, and Madison Hammond, capturing stories about Native American heritage, family, culture, sport, and sneaker designs.
On a mission to discover a sense of belonging. Discord and AKQA debuted its first short film starring celebrity guests Danny DeVito and Akwafina, building on the platform’s Imagine a Place launched in May. Using live-action, CGI and animation, the main actors are lead through a journey of what Discord means to its users. The stars were asked to Imagine a Place where people shared similar interests as them through various scenes.
