Six (6!) interviews to find out if I can plug in an Ethernet cable or tell a user to reboot their machine. Very easy technical questions, but a difficult process involving difficult people. Job ad didn't mention shift work, weekend work, full time in office. Found out with the PD. Recruiter misrepresented the position to me. Painted it as sysadmin/project work, turned out to be a first-level helpdesk role. Called me twice a day, sometimes after 5pm, to hassle me even though he knew I didn't want the job. Used it as practice interviewing for jobs I did want. Each interview was 2 hours long. Total process took more than a month. Insane. One interviewer painted their users as unreasonable and disrespectful. Two others emphasised that there would be no possibility for career growth in the role, they wanted me to think this was a good thing. Bonus structure seems engineered to keep salaries low.
