A few weeks back, we unveiled a refreshed brand identity for TPG, one of the most recognisable brands in the TPG Telecom family. From its early days in 1986 as a computer hardware business to becoming a household name in connectivity, TPG has always stood for value, simplicity and reliability. TPG now has a bold new look to match. To celebrate, we brought together our teams for a purple-themed celebration. It was an opportunity to reflect on our journey and look ahead to what’s next. Of course, Aussies are invited to join in on the fun with us. We’re marking the launch with NBN offers for new customers, and a year of internet is up for grabs for 100 existing NBN or FTTB customers. Terms and conditions apply. We’re proud of TPG’s history in connecting Australians, and even prouder of where the brand is headed. Check out the new look at https://www.tpg.com.au/
We just sent a text from space! In a remote part of NSW with limited mobile coverage, we successfully sent a text message using Lynk LEO satellites. We didn't need a special device or any fancy equipment, just a phone on the Vodafone network. The message? “Happy Easter!” A nod to Vodafone’s first-ever text in 1992, “Merry Christmas". This tech will help us close the mobile coverage gap, reaching areas mobile towers can’t. Think of Australia's mobile network like a set of streetlights; bright and reliable where people live but as you head further inland it gets patchy. Satellites are like a full moon on a clear night. Not as strong, but they can shine where streetlights never will. This is a significant step in our mission to improve connectivity across Australia’s vast land mass.

We’re proud to partner with Aurora Education Foundation which provides full time internships at organisations working to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Through this program, Aurora supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander interns to develop practical skills, gain real-world career experience and build professional networks. Recently, we welcomed Geoffrey Beckett, a proud First Nations man from the Yuin Nation on the South Coast of NSW to the IT Engineering team for a full-time 4-week internship program. Geoffrey is currently living and studying in Meanjin, Brisbane, pursuing a Bachelor of Information Technology at the Queensland University of Technology. Geoffrey was eager to develop his industry skills and experience at TPG Telecom and was an instrumental part of the team supporting our customer portals, ordering platforms and back-end systems. Geoffrey travelled to Gadigal Country where our Barangaroo office stands to complete his internship. This opportunity provided Geoffrey with practical career experience and skills, and the opportunity to connect in person with his mother who surprised him with a visit while he was based in Sydney, travelling all the way from the Philippines to see him!
