Our Australian businesses began the formal process of launching our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) today with our first meeting of team members from SIMEC Mining, SIMEC Energy Australia, InfraBuild and the Whyalla Steelworks in Adelaide for our RAP Kick-Off Workshop. We were honoured to have special guests Uncle Elly McNamara (founder of Walga Mining), Uncle Harry Miller (Director, Walga Mining), and Gavin Wanganeen (former Port Adelaide Captain, Indigenous artist, and our RAP Ambassador).

We’re focusing on safety across our sites today and our Life Savers, a set of critical behaviours we all need to follow to ensure we make it home safely each day. The Life Savers are part of our Be GFG Safe strategy, which includes the vision that 'Every employee should be able to return home fit and well at the end of each workday.
