Sanjeev Gupta, the Executive Chairman of the GFG Alliance, today celebrated the launch of the GFG Foundation in Romania. In front of LIBERTY Galati, the largest integrated steelworks in Romania and part of GFG’s LIBERTY Steel Group, Sanjeev welcomed a group of local political and educational stakeholders to the first step in the GFG Foundation’s expansion into Central Europe.
Accles & Pollock, the precision metal tubular assembly business which is part of GFG Alliance, was presented yesterday with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of the West Midlands. The Oldbury, UK-based firm, which was established over 100 years ago, won the award last year in April 2020 for growth in exports that doubled over two years in 2018/19 but the presentation of the award was delayed due to COVID. #metalassembly #award #winners #gfgalliance

LIBERTY Steel Group (LIBERTY) announces that following very constructive and productive meetings at the weekend in Dubai, Sanjeev Gupta and his newly-formed Restructuring and Transformation Committee are in advanced discussions with Credit Suisse Asset Management (CS) to reach a formal standstill agreement on its LIBERTY Primary Metals Australia business while refinancing is completed that will repay CS out in full.
Looking for alternate sourcing opportunities to fill vacant roles within the InfraBuild Recycling business has led to a partnership with the not for profit Solider On organisation. InfraBuild Recycling has recently taken part in a networking event in Newcastle as part of their Soldier On partnership. Networking events are held nationally, and InfraBuild Recycling has committed to taking part wherever possible.
It’s Global Wind Day, a worldwide event held annually on 15 June. We’re proud of our role in supplying product to enable major renewable energy projects around Australia including wind farms.
