- Work on some of the biggest infrastructure projects in Aus. - Ongoing learning at all levels - Supportive and inclusive work environment - Corporate partnerships/benefits - decent pay (with negotiation) - mostly good work/life balance
Cons
- "flexible" working i.e. WFH is not really available and even frowned upon in some cases - not easy to try different roles within the business - IT issues - pay review process is slow and laborious. Almost easier to quit and join again later to get a payrise/promotion
Great job security under Cimic umbrella. Co-workers are professional and experienced and keen to impart their experiences.
Cons
There is little to do with the mothership UGL management as it seems that you are only working for the sake of the project. It feels very hands off. They also seem to be very afraid of flexible working for predominantly office based workers.
