      Micromanaged, old-fashioned and inflexible

      Pros

      - Access to many great people and engineers - Salary sacrifice for laptop/smartphones - Emphasis on good written communication practice

      Cons

      - BYOD, the work laptop is barely sufficient - Enforced internal weekly and daily tasks even when fully engaged with clients - Poor work-life balance - Flat, shallow hierarchy - Frequent micromanaging on many levels - New ideas are very difficult to introduce - Minimal office facilities - Minimal support for self-education and improvements - Self well-being is not a discussed topic - Uneven pay. There are no standards on pay structure - Terrible performance review process. Annual reviews are pushed to be done outside working hours unpaid

      Pros

      - Great workplace & fun people - Fun Tech to play with - Exciting projects with cutting edge tech - Plenty of room to grow - especially for younger devs - Conferences & Profile building - Supported Training & development - Set your own salary & reviewed every year - Annual Reviews are with the Chief Architect, he takes you out for dinner and a walk to hear honestly how your year has been and helps you set goals for the next year. This is often on weekends - but it is definitely not work. - There is no CEO, only a Chief Architect - very developer focused - Heaps of Annual Leave & no real approval required - Company Retreats & Brainstorming Days

      Cons

      - Maintaining SSW Rules is frustrating, but also handy if I don't know how to do something - Consulting is not for the faint hearted - you switch projects frequently
