      Interesting product & good team. Nepotism in Sydney office is not good!

      Pros

      Karbon is good product built by committed and high energy team. Top management is good vision and they do good job at motivating. Top management has experience and care for staff. Good place to work hard learn new things. There is Pressure but is ok. More companies doing remote work so Karbon will grow fast.

      Cons

      Work life balance is so so. CTO runs the Sydney office, he is very smart and work hard. However, there is nepotism at play leading to a toxic environment. Noone speak up probably because they dont want to annoy the boss. HR policies does not prevent appointing family in important positions.

      Pros

      I've really enjoyed my start at Karbon. Everyone is really supportive I'm really enjoying the can do attitude and just knuckling down and doing some coding.

      Cons

      Nothing I can see at this point in time. I'll be looking forward to getting to the office in Sydney to spend more face to face time with my team.

      Was fun until manager change

      Coworkers are great Product is solid and works Message anyone in the company, pretty open door

      Cons

      Leadership change, it went from a leader that actually leads to a manager that says do xyz. This made the enjoyability go from maybe a 9 to a 3. Your suggestions are not really taken into consideration even though they said they would. Its amazing when during a discussion I have valid points and the other party got annoyed, probably thought it was mansplaining or something (It was at this point I really stopped caring). Nepotism, its clear as crystal and bright as the sun.

We’re also aware that leadership transitions can be challenging, and you need to believe in who is steering the ship, sometimes, that simply doesn't work for you like it does for many others. What we can do is use feedback like yours to continue the great work we are doing around change management when we have a new leader join us.
