Exceptional freedom to achieve and make a difference to not only the company bottom line but also through open source software, Red Hatters have something in common in that they believe in the value of open source, and this drives a steel thread of culture through the company that is more than the company. It's a movement.
Cons
Can be unstructured, very fast, and might seem like chaos. It's not for everyone. work can be very demanding, but aslo satisifying. work life balance can be challenging, however people in Red Hat work hard becasue they want to not because thy are made to.
