Pros
Most colleagues are friendly, some people are amazing, but most of them left to pursue better opportunities.
Quite good with social events and coming up with different activities.
Lunch is good.
Work/life balance is ok.
Cons
In this organization, only the sales team gets praised and rewarded. Mostly, other people are underpaid, not recognized, and barely get salary increases or other benefits. Some employees, with extremely challenging jobs, long working hours, and multiple years of seniority, have insanely low pay.
There are absolutely no growth opportunities. No career progression opportunities and no budget to take any courses to get certified.
The management says that they are open for change and more effective processes, but when it is time to implement a new process, they start to come up with reasons why it is not a good time to do it and that we should not take away the freedom to let employees do tasks in their own, unstructured way.
The workplace advertises a hybrid culture, but the department executive does not believe that any work gets done when working from home. He was always sitting by the door to look at what time people come to work and leave. Only the ones being the first ones in and last ones out are “productive”. Once, I had to defend myself to be allowed to go to the GP in the middle of the day to get antibiotics for a bacterial infection, and got questioned by the said executive whether visiting the GP "is really necessary".
I am so blessed that I got out of this place.
