What does it take to be an Olympic gold medalist? đĽ Danielle Woodhouse won a gold medal in water polo at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She is also a sports physiotherapist working at Lifecare's Southcare clinic. "As a clinician I can look at things from an athleteâs perspective as well as a physio perspective," Danielle said. "Over my career I have had personal experience with many injuries that I see today, and nothing gives a patient more confidence than when you tell them youâve had that same injury!" Meet Shirley! As we celebrate National Carerâs Week and Allied Health Professions Day, we want to highlight her incredible journey. After a life-changing fall, Shirley spent nearly six months in the hospital. Her recovery began at home with the support of Lifecare Homecare. With the dedicated help of Jarrad Kennington, her physiotherapist, Shirley has regained her strength and mobility through a personalised home-based program. Their bond, built on trust and communication, has been key to her progress. Shirley says, âI just feel more positive because Iâm involved in my own care.â Her story is a testament to the power of compassionate, in-home care and the difference it can make in peopleâs lives. Join us in celebrating the amazing carers and allied health professionals who make stories like Shirleyâs possible. Peter Fuller was one of the partners at Lifecare with me who saw the business he owned with others sold to LifeCare Health shortly after that company listed on the ASX. Peter continued to work at the Lifecare Ashburton Sports Medicine practice from which he only recently retired. The photo was taken at the 40 years reunion of that practicesâ commencement.

Meet Tamara Crook, Head of Continence and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy at our Lifecare Australia (part of the APM Group) Southcare clinic. Tamara completed a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy before going on to obtain her master's qualification in pelvic health and continence physiotherapy. What first attracted Tamara to joining our team was the opportunities available in the field of women's health. She was embraced by a flexible and supportive team, allowing her to meet all of her study commitments while continuing to work the hours she needed to save up to buy a house. "The moment I was able to graduate but also have everything else balanced in my life was definitely a career highlight," she reflected. Congratulations on an impressive 10-year journey with us Tamara! đ Interested in stepping into a career like Tamara's? Explore graduate opportunities at Lifecare today: https://bit.ly/3tBC4ux
