Pros

The client Anglo American is amazing and supportive, unlike actual direct employer Ventia. If Anglo knew everything that went on, Ventia would not have a contract GUARANTEED!

Cons

Managers are clueless about property management, Ventia have NEVER done property management and they have no idea how to ensure they are acting lawfully. If the OFT walked in, they'd have a FIELD DAY! When the issues with non compliance with laws were reported to managers, along with supporting documentation (legislation & regulations), solutions and the risks associated with not making changes, management created "issues" with the "whistleblowers" performance of work and then put them on a bogus PIP and bullied them to the point where they were suicidal and left with no fight left in them.

Pros

All the good people who have left

Cons

The CEO has zero strategy or future focus, it’s all about his bonus. Losing work left right and centre and culling excellent people in favour of ‘yes men and women’. No leadership, no ELT accountability, support or engagement. It’s the pits! Toxic culture, HR work for the employer, not the employees.

Pros

None that come to mind, maybe coworkers

Cons

Worked for Ventia in QLD for about 5 years in total, the first 3 years were very toxic as middle management knew nothing about their trade (electrical) they weren't tradespeople, just "project managers" Then Convid came alone... I was an essential worker, working in unmanned automated buildings keeping the phones alive with perfect KPI's as well as a HSR under the WHS act. Worked during the first 10 months of c19 until the jabs came into existence. I questioned the jab mandates in my role as a HSR, asked questions about safety data etc and asked to be included in the consultation process as I was entitled to do so as a HSR. 2 days later stood down without pay. 'Safe and effective' I was told... went to fair work as I was protected under sections of the WHS legislation and was later laughed out. People call me an anti-vaxxer... I simply retort, have you taken your 7th booster? No? Welcome to the club haha!! Shi* money, shi* conditions, shi* management if you can look past all that, they're amazing to work for!
