Toxic workplace

Pros

Not many! Met a few lovely people who are lifelong friends but that's about all.

Cons

Toxic culture. Bullying from all levels, especially management. Not family friendly - you are expected to work all hours of the day, night, weekends and public holidays with no overtime pay or time in lieu. You are expected to put the business above your family. I was even bullied by my line manager when I was on stress leave. I was disciplined and gaslighted whenever I would raise my concerns with management.

Pros

Will happily give you time off so they don’t have to pay you.

Cons

Management is the biggest issue, employees are treated like useless children, company is going back to ideas of what started there downward spiral. Managers screw over employees to save their own butt

Pros

Great colleagues to work with

Cons

- Hard ingrained company values with little practice of them. - Frequently preached but non existent work life balance ethos - Hideous lack of diversity and inclusion for a large company - Most senior managers have never worked in other companies so have no understanding of best practice or general understanding of retail industry - Little to no interest or practice of career progression, training/development is completely self-driven with no support - Many innovations to their credit with significant failures when implemented which is disappointing
