Pros

Public Outreach was a great starter job, especially as a student. It helped me step outside my comfort zone, become more confident, and significantly improve my communication skills. The hands-on learning experience was valuable, and many of the skills I developed here are still useful in my career today. The role taught me how to approach and engage with strangers confidently without hesitation. My Team Lead at the time was also amazing and provided excellent support and guidance. Although I worked here in 2022 and cannot speak to the current environment, my experience was very positive.

Cons

The commute can be challenging because you are not assigned to one consistent work location and may need to travel to different areas regularly. In my opinion, it is not the most suitable role as a long-term career option. Compensation is primarily based on an hourly wage, and employees do not earn commission on every donation or fund raised.
