Pros

- amazing work life balance - min. need to come to office - good in DB, Cloud business

Cons

- lot of white elephants - Zero chance of internal movements - Leaders / managers not dynamic, all old school people - Sales leaders are spreadsheet Managers - Employee is just a Count on Spreadsheet - company vision and financials not clear - you work here but never feel part of company - biggest non performers who never meet customers are promoted YoY from VP to SVP, GVP, EVP just due to internal alignment, zero touch with customers

Toxic Culture, Bullying is the Norm

Pros

Has a good name, the benefits are good. It’s a big company, so obviously some fantastic people work there.

Cons

Oracle is a deeply male-dominated workplace where management seems far more accessible if you're a man. For women, the environment is particularly tough, advancement is harder, and support is minimal. The most troubling issue is the pervasive bullying culture. It’s not just occasional, it’s systemic. Employees who've been with the company for 10 to 20 years have often spent their entire careers being bullied, and many have become desensitized to it because it’s all they’ve known. If manager is located overseas APAC. it’s next level, I would even use the wording as cruel.

Pros

Good Career Development and learning Opportunities – Offers diverse projects and exposure, especially beneficial for those looking to broaden their skills. Non-Invasive Management – Management generally trusts employees to deliver without micromanagement. Competitive Compensation – Salaries are well above industry average, along with solid benefits. Health Insurance Coverage – Comprehensive health insurance options are provided to employees.

Cons

Lack of Recognition – Efforts often go unnoticed; appreciation for consistent performers could be improved. Limited Visibility on Future Work – There's often uncertainty about upcoming assignments or long-term plans. Restricted Growth Pathways – Internal mobility and career progression can be limited, especially outside preferred circles. Favoritism – Advancement may depend more on internal relationships than merit or performance. To be noticed and considered for growth, there seems to be an unspoken expectation of working extended hours, including late-night meetings (e.g., 1–2 AM). While this might suit some, it can lead to burnout and raises concerns about work-life balance.
