Pros

If you’re looking for a place where people come first, where innovation is real and not just marketing speak, and where you’re surrounded by smart, driven teammates, Netskope should be at the top of your list. I have been here a long time, and we all know that in order to succeed you cant just have great technology, there are so many other ingredients needed to succeed as a company. Cool tech isn't enough, you need to look for and ground yourself in other attributes, things like the people, exec leadership, investors, funding, the values, the behaviors, timing, technology, market fit, competitors, analysts/customer/partner validation, etc that form a strong foundations for long term success. I can vouch that Netskope has all of right ingredients above, in spades, but if you ask me what keeps me here, there are several things which I will highlight below that I think are critical, and top of my list is our culture. This is all about the behaviors and the values that drive everything we do, how decisions are made, how are people treated when things go wrong, how they are rewarded, etc. Its not fluff, it is lived here and it is how it shapes how we work together and in how we differ from our competitors. We celebrate wins (and learned from our losses) as a team. People are treated with respect and professionalism, and the leadership genuinely listens and takes action. It makes a real difference in how it feels to work every day and how we bring our best and how we work together. In the end, you see it in our results. We’re in hyper-growth mode, and what’s exciting is that our vision and roadmap aren’t just ambitious, they’re well grounded and we continue to grow without losing sight of what matters and what brought us here, innovation. Even after all these years I still get excited when I see our technology in action (check out the many demos on Youtube by Bob Gilbert). Innovation continues to be the engine behind everything we do. You may be surprise to hear that we operate the largest private security cloud in the world, and our ability to deliver both security and performance at scale is a core reason why customers choose us. User experience matters here, it’s central to what sets us apart. As we like to say here "If you have a performance problem, you have a security problem" and this is why user experience, performance, security all matter. Customers don't have to make compromises. Another aspect that you should consider is the "Why Netskope". Our customers, analysts, and partners consistently tell us why we stand alone, and it’s not just our technology, it’s how we show up as a team. Netskope has been recognized as a leader in multiple Gartner Magic Quadrants for nine straight years (starting from the early days of CASB). And I have to call out our SEs, they’re world-class. In our technical campaigns, they win. Again and again. They are awesome at aligning our world class technology to our customer outcomes to bring real value. They dont just "show" they also "tell" and reinforce the "Why Netskope". In the end, customers notice, and they don’t hold back in telling us how much they value our approach and the people behind it. They trust us because we earn that trust, not by overselling but by delivering. So, if you’re excited about building the future of security, excited about working at the front edge of cybersecurity, with great people, a strong mission and a culture that actually lives its values, and have a great time doing it, Netskope is where you want to be. Don’t just take take my word and experience, talk to our customers, our partners, or anyone on the team. The proof is in what they say.

Cons

Now, to be (and continue to be) real, we aren't perfect, we fall, but we pick ourselves up and we learn from these moments. We are also a bit slow to deliver new features as fast as some would want us to but this is mostly by design. We are consider mission critical to our customer and when you consider what we do and who we serve you will appreciate this! Quality and reliability first. It takes time to build things right at scale, soak time is needed in getting it right before putting something in front of a customer. Another area to consider is that we aren't the largest vendor in this space, not by a long shot but this is also a strength in my book, we can move fast and be nimble. When our competitors know we are present they show up with 20 people, which can be intimidating (and overwhelming). We however show up with usually two but with confidence in our technology and confidence in the PEOPLE standing behind us AND we have lots of humility in how we engage. We never forget that people buy from people, we lead with substance, not egos.
