Pros

Honestly, not a whole lot unfortunately. Only major pros are; - That it is hybrid (2 days a week in the office) - Office is in a central Barangaroo location - Summer Fridays

Cons

- The frequency of company restructures is concerning and often lacks clear strategic rationale. The organisation appears to have undergone annual restructures for the past four or more years, which raises questions about leadership stability and long-term direction. This constant change has fostered a “walking on eggshells” culture, where employees focus more on self-preservation than collaboration, sometimes at the expense of colleagues. - There is a significant lack of alignment and connection between teams and functions. Rather than encouraging cross-functional collaboration, the culture often discourages it. This appears to stem from a top-down issue, particularly within Marketing, where leadership promotes change through pressure rather than partnership, resulting in a toxic and counterproductive environment. - Several Team Leads and HODs demonstrate intimidating and politically driven behaviour, prioritising appearances to senior leadership over team wellbeing. There have also been attempts to pressure employees into attending the office more than the contracted 2 days per week (up to 4), with implied judgement or consequences for non-compliance, despite this conflicting with employee contracts. - Hot desking is poorly managed. The office does not have sufficient desks for all staff. - Compensation is not competitive with industry benchmarks. Salaries are average at best, and middle management is excluded from bonus eligibility.
