We don't build value. We just survive the yearly reshuffle. - Software Engineer REA Group Employee Review

Pros

Team members on the ground are great to work with and most of the EMs will always treasure personal life over work.

Cons

There is always things for people to complain about, which is human nature. But the worst is definitely the yearly restructure, that destroys the culture we worked so hard to build. Three months adjusting, seven months firefighting, two months grieving... every. single. year. That's not Agile, that's a trauma cycle. And you never get the compounding returns of a stable team's trust when you keep burning it down annually. Imagine the mental overload of constant change in the workspace, of constant fear of losing your job, and of constant pressure to deliver features that no one actually wants. In 2025, the engineering teams had the largest restructure, where we had 4 roles (Delivery Leads/Manager, Tech Lead and Lead Dev) merged into 1 Engineering Manager role. All for the sake of "efficiency" and "faster delivery". which we have yet to measure, followed now by another restructure. If i was a board member, I would definitely be loosing faith in management, because it does not look like you know what you are doing with our money.
