Social events (although don't be fooled - they are used to offset the below industry pay and poor work life balance)
Cons
- Boys club culture - If you are Anglo, from the right side of the tracks, went to a private school and enjoy rugby - then you will be on an express ride to the top - regardless of your capability - doors will magically open for you - work winning teams lack real experience hence deals done are not achievable - then left up to the delivery teams to sacrifice their lives to deliver unrealistic targets - all for someone to achieve their KPI's / bonuses which aren't cascaded down to those who do the real work - senior management are extremely arrogant and ruthless - although they will never get their hands dirty - don't get sucked in by all the buzz words. It's just the HR spin doctor at work - they are more than happy to promote inexperienced employees into senior roles as they will work the crazy hours to prove themselves and they are typically 'yes' men/women - they are so focused on being politically correct , they have lost sight of nurturing true talent regardless of what box they tick
