Pros

Warm, friendly and collegiate atmosphere. Strong work life balance. Thursday drinks in the office. Leadership are beginning to successfully pivot the business. Smart people. Good products with strong investment priorities and good client penetration. Strong collaborative HR, Finance, Legal teams.

Cons

A quite brutal and seemingly random redundancy program continues. Whether you have 1 year or 15 years at Iress, you can be made redundant in the name of “business efficiency”. Beyond those made redundant, good people are jumping and fearful of their jobs. It makes it a really anxious and jittery place to work - it’s not pleasant. Sadly, this usurps all the good things we mentioned above.

Pros

People, Good central office (Melbourne) Staff benefits are ok

Cons

Engineering management is a let down - poor behaviours, micromanagement, lack of trust - the list can go on. Seems to get swept under the carpet or ignored so patterns continue to fester and have for years.
