Pros

- All the skills you learn look great on your resume - Get to work within an interesting team - sometimes get the sense you're really helping people

Cons

- Pay started at AUD56,500 before finishing probations (chance for a 2k raise every 6months) - 13 hour shifts, always go over and it's expected you do - They do not say in the job description you'll be doing work for IHMS and they only tell you a week before you finish training, very bad form and was disgusted by that - No real development path - Culture within the assistance centre area is non-existent - people who work in the 'corporate' side tend to look/talk down to you - so does the general manager - high stress environment with little to no mental health support from management (will be working on cases where people die, management just shrugs it off - they're fairly jaded) - not fairly compensated for the kind of work, the salary is very low for people who work in retail call centres - constantly understaffed - was left alone for 13hr night shifts on multiple occasions and was expected to "deal with it" - the quality team only sends out negative feedback, if you do something good they will rarely say anything, but if you forget to say "please" or "thank you" like a robot they'll be straight on you
