Good culture, less politics than other mids and decent firm events. Clear bonus structure. Non discretionary bonus set at level (8% for sc, 10% for SA and below)

Pros

Fairly relaxed atmosphere and none of the top tier firm snobbery. Freedom to work in the manner that you please without too much restraint; Work hours are very reasonable, and there is no 'presenteeism" The Managing Partner is really inspirational

Cons

There is a boys club and it is not spoken about but if you rub them the wrong way then watch out Despite promising an organised and supportive way to the top in reality it is every man for himself and you have to protect yourself from attacks within the firm that you may not know about rather than focus on building your practise externally

Pros

Fairly laid back and good work-life balance.

Cons

Partners are pretty much at war with each other and there is no progression from junior staff to partnership (although they say there is..). Very bad for women. No company policy (or enforced one) about discrimination and no real presence of women in partnership. Really inflexible workplace policies about having to be present and accounted for, rather than being able to work at home.
