Pros

Diversity and inclusion, nice central office, WFH

Cons

I am deeply disappointed with the direction Flybuys has taken since the new CCO and the recent additions to the customer team management. After the demerger from Coles in 2020, Flybuys had developed a positive and collaborative culture. However, this progress has been entirely undone by the current ELT management. The once encouraging and supportive atmosphere has deteriorated into a toxic environment filled with fake positivity. Many of the talented and dedicated employees who contributed to Flybuys' success have been forced out or bullied, leaving behind a shell of what the company used to be. It's disheartening to see how the poor leadership and managerial practices have destroyed a great workplace. If you're considering a position at Flybuys, be prepared for a challenging and demoralizing experience.

Pros

There is a stark contrast in how different teams operate here. The Australian employees and leadership are fantastic—they are professional, non-toxic, and delegate tasks fairly based on your actual profession and skill set. Working with them was the only positive aspect of my time here.

Cons

Unfortunately, a specific faction of the leadership team creates an incredibly toxic and draining environment. The disparity in management styles is jarring and creates a culture of severe anxiety for those lower on the corporate ladder. Specific issues include: Unprofessional Conduct: Certain leaders will actively belittle you in team meetings and use public humiliation as a management tactic, making employees a laughing stock. Hostile 1-on-1s: The mockery doesn't stop in public; it continues behind closed doors during 1-on-1 meetings. Weaponized Workloads: While the Australian team sets you up for success, other managers will intentionally assign impossibly hard or irrelevant tasks specifically designed to force you out of the company. Skewed Ratings: I highly recommend taking the 4- and 5-star reviews with a heavy grain of salt, as there is a strong internal push to compensate or incentivize positive feedback to cover up the reality of the turnover.
