Pros

Kitchen, Salary and Bonus (Were once upon a time!!), TV screens to catch up with sports.

Cons

First of of all my prayer for those who have decided to take a job out there in Sydney office. Forget it even that wont help as you are destined to be doomed. PEOPLE: Biased, Bullies, Have personal vendetta, Once they have milked every drop of sweat and blood of you, Oh yes which they will!! They will shamelessly ignore your existence and hang you out to bleed after the job is done. Every soul out there currently at middle management level is looking to please the management so that can manage their bonus payouts. Some of them are "industry smarts" but as people are nothing more than just "Yes" man when speaking to their bosses. CULTURE: Political nightmare; they do place people in leadership and management position who have no skill to perform that job BUT they are close to CEO and/or CFO. EMPHASIS: Meaningless analysis and death by PowerPoint which goes back to the fact that people leading the team are incompetent and need to be educated first through "Ad-Hoc" analysis and thereafter can use the same for upward management to blow their own trumpet. PRIORITIES AND WORK PRESSURE: Because the owners like "finger on the pulse" they need heaps of financial reports and re-forecasts. Given that they have been trying to sell the business there are lengthly other assignments too. Everything is due now and you need to have an attitude that there are 24 hours in a day.

Pros

Good team to be in to get an understanding of the energy industry and most functions of the company. Hybrid office/wfh policy.

Cons

New activities come along and can't always get early full picture/understanding due to ongoing workload
