Pros
- Working with incredibly interesting technology (software: machine learning/AI, photonics, quantum sensing) and (hardware: inertial sensors, fibre optics gyroscopes, underwater robotics). - Fast paced environment - it’s busy but exciting - The technology is in everything from agriculture, mining, defence, transport to space exploration … essentially any autonomous system requires a navigation system. - Competitive compensation packages - Flexible WFH policy, although majority prefer the office - All the manufacturing is done in-house, the labs and sites are interesting - Offices across Australia + expanding globally
Cons
- It is a fast-paced place to work, so may not suit everyone's working style - As the company scales, processes and structures are still maturing and changing - There is a steep learning curve when you join (understanding the technology and products takes time), if you are not personally/professionally interested in deep-tech, this may not be the place for you (on the flip side, if you are into deep-tech, it’s a dream)
