I applied online. I interviewed at Octopus Electric Vehicles
Interview
First stage chat with CTO, coding task, engineering chat and finally a stage with product.
Reason for experience rating: The interview process itself was okay, however it took place in the span of almost 2 months and the feedback at the end was vague.
I applied online. I interviewed at Octopus Electric Vehicles (London, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
Three stages, with a presentation - took quite a long time all in all. Nice people with an informal interview.
Criticisms would be that there was more of a focus on selling the company to me than there was on learning more about me and my experience.
After a three-stage process, plus an extensive task, I was sent a blanket rejection email. No phone call and no real reasoning for the rejection.
HR team said that at this final stage, none of the candidates progressed.

Interview
30 minute interview with recruiter, then a second interview with the team if you are successful. Recruiter interview was pretty informal, standard questions about holiday, hours, what attracted you to octopus etc. Asked me to describe the role which I thought was weird because that's normally what the interviewer does.
