Best vacation ever and why?
I would love to travel to Germany in the future. What are specific places I should visit? And what are the most ideal times I can visit?
Taking my daughter (12) to Paris for 5 days in mid-October. I’ve only been once for work, pre-kids; so it’s been a minute. Tell me all the things🤪: where should we stay (specific places or areas), off the beaten path places not to miss, cool places to eat, tours to do, potential day trip locs, etc. She loves croissants and macarons, loves to cook, is a competitive dancer, and my adventure-seeking/adrenaline junky child. Thank you for any tips and advice!!
One week in Rome…what to do there?
Hawaii 🐠 Heading to Maui. Any must do guided excursions? We went 11 years ago and didn’t take full advantage including rushing through RTH.
Heading to Destin, Florida tomorrow. Any recommendations for things to do and places to eat?
Safari during the great migration in Kenya / Tanzania. Every vacation I go on for the rest of my life will be compared to that, and the chances anything eclipses it are next to zero.
I'm considering a trip like this for July/August. Any tips, recs?
I’ll start. Mediterranean cruise with my daughter as her graduation present. Taking glass blowing class in Murano was just one of many great experiences together
Your daughter is so lucky to have a father like you. Congratulations on your daughter's successful graduation
Boracay, Philippines -quintessential world class beach and friendly people.
This!!!
Japan, with a final stop at the Park Hyatt Hanazono to ski in Niseko. Incredible food, amazing culture, and my boyfriend and I love skiing. We loved it so much we’re going it again next year
That Park Hyatt is awesome - and the heated boot racks needs to be a thing in America
Circled the globe in 21 days over a milestone anniversary, covering 1 country and 1 city each in all 5 habitable continents. NY > Santiago and Valpareso in Chile (South America) > Melbourne, Australia (Oceania) > Siam Reap, Cambodia (Asia) > Cairo, Egypt (Africa) > Malta (Europe) > NY
Which tour company did you use?
Siem Reap in Cambodia. Loved Angkor Wat but loved the small town vibe of the city itself even more. The chilled style and friendly locals were exactly my style.
Hiking on a Glacier in Iceland.
That was a good one!
Antarctica cruise with National Geographic/Lindblad. I’ve certainly never been anti-environment, but that trip changed the way I see the earth and our role on it. Safari in Tanzania was a strong second for the same reason.
I went to Antarctica with G Adventures in 2024. Did polar camping, two polar plunges, and loved seeing baby penguin chicks and 2 types of seals and whales. Definitely an experience to remember! I'm considering a Tanzania/Kenya trip for July/August. Any tips, recs?
Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu in Peru
Walking on the Great Wall of China and visiting the Forbidden City were breathtaking.
Puerto Rico. Culebra island. Crystal clear beaches. Fresh food. Boat rentals. Just treat the island with respect. ❤️
