An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Senior Mining Engineer to join a leading open cut coal operation in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. You will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and executable enabling plans focused on ensuring stripping paths and bottleneck processes are enabled to succeed. You will report to the Manager Mine Planning with coaching and mentoring from the Superintendents and Manager. The role is under the new framework of Critical Path Project Management, new and innovative approach to mine planning for stable, predictable business plan delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring the SRF Mine Plan is integrated into the 90-Day Project Activity Schedule during each rolling update, managing potential disruptions early to minimise impact on execution.
This role offers exposure to a large-scale mining environment and the chance to contribute to short to medium-term planning while collaborating closely with operations and technical teams.
Please note the role is located in the Bowen Basin working across a 4:3 day shift 12-hour roster. Residential, DIDO and FIFO (BNE to MOV) available.
