Catering Assistant

$25.86 per hour as a permanent part-time employee

(new wages apply soon, $27.09 base rate effective 6th of July 2026)

THE POSITION

• Assist in food preparation and sandwich-making
• Serving breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals
• Following all Food and Safety procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas and with equipment

THE PERSON

• Experience in the healthcare or aged care sector is highly favoured, although not essential
• Police Clearance (or be willing to obtain it)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and improve service quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
