Role Overview
As an ICT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging business needs with technology solutions. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, you will analyse business processes, gather and document system requirements, support ICT projects, and identify opportunities to ICT systems, business processes and operational efficiency. You will contribute to the successful delivery of innovative healthcare technology solutions that enhance customer outcomes and support Debetrek's continued growth.
This role will be based in our Queensland head office located in Banyo on a full time permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business and system requirements.
- Analyse existing business processes, procedures and ICT systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate business needs and recommend technology solutions that align with organisational objectives.
- Prepare business requirements, functional specifications, process models and system documentation for ICT projects.
- Liaise with software developers, vendors and internal stakeholders throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Support the planning, implementation, testing and deployment of ICT systems and business applications.
- Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet business and functional requirements.
- Develop user documentation and provide system training and post-implementation support where required.
- Monitor system performance and recommend continuous improvements to business processes and ICT solutions.
- Participate in ICT projects, providing analysis, project support and stakeholder communication throughout project delivery.
Key Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as an ICT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or in a similar ICT-focused role.
- Strong experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis, system analysis and ICT solution delivery.
- Strong Python, SQL, AWS, PowerBI, Snowflake for data analysis, transformation and automation.
- Hands-on ERP implementation and configuration (Odoo and Ostendo experience strongly preferred) across inventory, purchasing, sales, accounting and service — including ERP data migration from systems such as Xero or MYOB.
- Sound understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and enterprise business systems (e.g. ERP, CRM).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Applied statistical analysis and data modelling to surface trends, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in operational data.
- Hands-on experience building internal data products end-to-end — from business requirements through data pipelines, modelling and dashboards to deployment — across multiple business functions, including consolidated cross-entity reporting and KPI/metric design
- API-based integration between ERP and surrounding systems (CRM, telephony, e-commerce, supplier/logistics)
- Ability to translate data and system insight into measurable commercial outcomes (efficiency, cost, margin), with strong communication to management level.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
Highly Regarded
- Machine learning or predictive modelling, and prior data-scientist or applied-research experience
- Experience gained within a medium-to-large corporate environment, or in the healthcare technology, medical devices, ICT or systems integration sectors, will be highly regarded.
