About the Initiative
South West Alliance of Regional Health (SWARH) provides healthcare services to a population of more than 429,000 people, across South West Victoria. SWARH is embarking on a refresh of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) application that underpins the clinical operations of multiple health sites within this region. The Trak-Edition Project is responsible for delivering this refresh as well as taking the opportunity to review and refine the way our organisation uses its EHR. This is a multi-year project that has an overarching clinical nature, the Project Officer plays a key part in the success of this initiative and will need to be experienced and organised with excellent communication skills.
About the role
The Project Officer (Communications & Education) is a key member of the South West Alliance of Rural Health (SWARH) Applications Team delivering the Trak-Edition Project for 11 health services in the South West region. The Trak-Edition Project is a major undertaking requiring significant configuration.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the role will work primarily under the guidance of the Change & Learning Manager. The objective of the role is to support the execution of the project communications plan, covering a broad range of change and learning activities for a geographically diverse audience comprised of over 5000 individuals, inclusive of C-suite, medical, nursing, allied health, hospital management and administrative staff.
The role will undertake a broad range of communications and administrative duties to meet agreed needs and be involved in the support of project initiatives including, but not limited to, the change and learning program. Ultimately, this role complements the change and learning functions through the creation and distribution of clear, concise and engaging project communications using a variety of mediums and techniques appropriately tailored to the audience. Multiple bodies of work may be required to be undertaken simultaneously with various members of the team according to the Project Plan and timelines.
The role is based in Warrnambool, Victoria, and some intrastate travel may be required.
